The Cinekid Amsterdam Foundation is a designated Dutch Public Benefit Organization. An organization is eligible to be designated as such if 90% of its activities and 90% of its expenditure serve a general interest. Donations to Public Benefit Organizations may be deducted from the donor’s personal income or corporate income tax return. To be considered as deductible, the donations must be laid down in an agreement between the donor and the Public Benefit Organization.

Cinekid has drawn up its policy plan for 2025 to 2028, which sets out its ambitions and intentions in those years.
The Supervisory Board is the supreme body of the Cinekid Foundation and has a supervisory, monitoring, and advisory role. The Board consists of the following members:
The members of the Supervisory Board receive no remuneration; they may only declare expenses. Cinekid has a ‘arbeidsvoorwaardenregeling’ (a set of terms and conditions in addition to the collective labour agreement) and its own pay structure. The salary of the director, the only senior executive at Cinekid, is reviewed annually according to the Wet normering topinkomens (Wnt, Standards for Remuneration Act).
