Directors statement
The series will promote values like teamwork, empathy, sharing, respect, bravery, and inclusion. Our goal is to help everyone understand that we are part of a system; when connected, we are stronger, and our actions, even the smallest, can have a positive impact on all of us. We also aim to spark children's curiosity about nature by showcasing the incredible diversity of animals and places around the world.
Creating the series posed a significant challenge: honoring the history and mission of our beloved penguins. We made decisions to ensure the production is as sustainable and environmentally responsible as possible. These choices shape the series' aesthetic, making the production process and the story consistent—a result we are proud of and eager to continue exploring.
For the teaser, we implemented the "Reduce, Recycle, Reuse" strategy, which significantly reduced material consumption and waste, alongside a hybrid set enhanced with a homemade LED screen.
The series involves the protagonists traveling to different locations in each episode, requiring new outdoor sets each time. Technically, hybrid sets speed up production and enable us to create more complex landscapes while fulfilling our mission to reduce material consumption and waste. Our mission extends beyond this series to develop sustainable stop-motion techniques for the future.

GABRIELA VILLALOBOS is an animator and director from Chile. She has worked in animation, art and post production of TV series for children. Author of short films exhibited in museums, biennials and art galleries in Chile, Europe and Japan. She teaches Stop Motion Animation at a professional institute.

Pangur Animation is a stop motion animation studio what had done services for well-known brands such as: Hasbro, Warner, SYFY, Seriously, Sesame Street, Sony, Nickelodeon, Twitter, Green Mountain Energy or Tongal, and a wide kids production in YouTube. We oversaw the stop motion animation from the Netflix tv series Guardians of Justice. Pangur has produced several short films such as: Feardom (2017), and Idle (2018) directed by Pablo Muñoz; The Inner Life (2021) directed by Pablo Muñoz and Vicente Mallols, which will become a tv series soon; and Interns, Poveda, Cortón and Donderis (2023) Berlanga’s Award 23 and Goya Nominee 2024; Pietra, Cynthia Levitan (2024, Portugal, Poland and Spain); Carmela, Vicente Mallols (2025), in postproduction; Only Rats Paz del Carre (2026) MIANIMATION program winner.
