Cinekid wins Zilveren Roos!
We are proud to announce that Cinekid has been awarded the Jan Nijland Zilveren Roos. The award was presented at the cinema industry's New Year's reception at Royal Theater Tuschinski.
Heleen Rouw, director of Cinekid, accepted the Silver Rose. "I would like to thank the jury and those who nominated us. What a recognition for Cinekid! For all the people who work for Cinekid with heart and soul, this is a fantastic acknowledgment. Films and media works that are truly meant for children deserve this stage!" said Heleen Rouw.
The Silver Rose is intended for an individual or institution that has a significant impact on the Dutch cinema world. According to the jury, consisting of Sandra den Hamer, Michael Lambrechtsen, and Boris van der Ham, Cinekid has been committed since its founding in 1986 to familiarize children with film and digital media. This is achieved by connecting with their world and further developing, improving, or deepening it. The organisation contributes to the formation of future cinema, film theatre and arthouse audiences.
In addition to this fantastic recognition, a cash prize of twenty thousand euros is also awarded.
