When a huge tidal wave washes everything away, a headstrong cat and some other animals get into a little sailboat. But becoming friends and working together could prove even more difficult than the struggle against the wild water. An unusual, adventurous animated film full of stunning nature, which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes film festival.

15-year-old Mahmoud lives in a block of flats in Oslo. During the summer, he likes to hang out with his Somali friend Arif. But when his uncle Ji comes over from Pakistan, Mahmoud has to show him around together with his nine-year-old brother Ali. He finds out Ali would rather be a girl, which changes his worldview.

You won’t believe it, but Benjamin Bat, the hero of this animation, is afraid of the dark. That's pretty awkward for an animal that normally lives in the dark. During the day, he risks his life scavenging for food as he needs to watch out for the sun and scary birds. To complicate matters even further: he falls in love with a tropical songbird which makes things more exciting!

Eleven-year-old Karin is left by her father with her grandfather, a monk in a temple that is also home to Anzu, an extraterrestrial cat who rides a scooter and sometimes is in a really bad mood. The temple cat sees the child as an intruder. But when she tells him about her deceased mother, they form a bond. Together, they find the way to the hereafter.

Kéria lives in Borneo. On her father’s palm oil plantation, close to the rainforest, she saves a baby orangutan who she names Oshi. Oshi is a victim of the mass deforestation through logging that is devastating the jungle. In her cousin Selaï, who comes to live with them, she and Oshi find a comrade in their fight against the destruction of the rain forest.
