Arianne and Zahra are best friends who share everything. But then Arianne learns that she is terminally ill, and Zahra’s family is told they must return to Afghanistan. Arianne launches a brave campaign under the motto: “Don’t cry, just swap!” She’s determined to give Zahra the place and future she herself will soon leave behind in The Netherlands. Can they convince the minister of their plan? A moving and topical film about fighting spirit, hope, karaoke, first kisses, and making real sacrifices for someone you love, based on a true story.
On October 19, actresses Sophie Lindner and Maryam Akbari will attend the screening at Pathé Amsterdam Noord to answer audience questions. On October 22, director Mark de Cloe will do the same at the screening.
