Dad = (not) Bad

Alias is a tiny figure who dares to ask big questions. Using scissors, glue and plenty of imagination, a boy brings him to life. The boy wants to tell his story without others knowing who he is, because his dad has done something wrong and is in prison. Together, they set out in search of answers. Is Dad a bad guy? Is feeling sorry enough? And when will Dad come home again?

In Belgium, 16,000 children have a mum or dad in prison. Often, they don’t dare talk about it with their friends or in class. In this documentary, a 10-year-old boy gives a voice to children whose stories are rarely heard.
