Winners Audience Award Cinekid Festival 2023
Dancing Queen has been voted Best Children's Film by the public. Jippie No More! wins Best Dutch Children's Film Audience Award.
Today the Audience Awards for Cinekid Festival 2023 were announced. The winners are determined by children who attended the festival across the country and voted for their favorite films.
The Norwegian dance film Dancing Queen about the brave outsider Mina whom wants to impress a popular hip-hop dancer was named Best Children's Film. The opening film of the 37th edition of the Cinekid Festival, Jippie No More!, was awarded the audience award for Best Dutch Children's Film. tells the story of sixteen-year-old Jaap Peter ‘Jippie’ (Wesley van Klink) and his family, all facing challenges regarding love during the preparation of the eldest sister’s wedding. During the festival the film also won the Youth Jury Award 2023.
