NPO ZAPP Pilot: Kosmos
Izzy (12) and her father Koos (40) are waiting for Izzy’s mother, who is supposed to return home for the first time in twelve years. But as the evening drags on and Koos begins to act more and more strangely, Izzy starts to wonder if her father is telling her the whole truth. Is her mother really coming back?
In this pilot titled The Feast Izzy helps her father prepare a grand dinner to celebrate the return of her mother, Celeste. According to Koos, she is an intergalactic traveler. While Izzy keeps gazing hopefully at the sky, her doubts grow: is her mother still alive, or has her father lost himself in fantasy? She confides in her best friend Madée, who suspects Celeste died long ago and that Koos is unable to face his grief. But as the girls talk, the Department of Extraterrestrial Activities secretly listens in. Then the doorbell rings...
