Seven-year-old Angel goes to ballet class every Sunday, where she stands out as the only Black girl. Feeling excluded, she escapes into a dream world where the Black women in her life dance as ballerinas with beautiful, elaborate hairstyles. The film is a proud celebration of Black culture and identity, and of the powerful bond between Black women across generations, transcending the physical world.
