Gugu’s World
The flamboyant young boy Gugu lives with his grandmother, around whom he can completely be himself. When Grandma's memory starts failing her more and more, threatening to upend their safe little life together, Gugu does everything he can to prevent it, in this colorful Brazilian film full of music.
Gugu lives in a small village in Brazil. He's almost 12 and dreams of becoming a professional footballer. He also loves expressing himself with makeup and dress-up clothes. Gugu is being raised by his Grandma Dilma, whose warmth and open-mindedness give him the space to simply be himself. That's not always easy, because Gugu's father and the people in the village think he's quite strange. It's Gugu and Grandma against the world! But when Grandma's memory starts failing her more and more, Gugu has to do everything in his power to protect their safe little life. A beautiful colorful and musical film.
