Atlas of the Universe

The older brother of 10-year-old Filip works abroad. He'll be coming home soon, and Filip would love to be able to play football with him. So he and his father go to buy football boots in the nearby town. When his father runs into an old friend and gets distracted, Filip suddenly finds himself alone in the shoe shop. By accident, he buys two right shoes! He doesn't dare go home with them. He figures there must be someone out there who bought a box with two left shoes in it, and decides to go looking for that person. He sets off on a long journey across Romania. Along the way he passes a fair, befriends a stray dog, and meets all kinds of people. By making choices and overcoming fears, Filip takes his first steps toward independence and growing up during his journey.
