Ross is an imaginative boy with autism. The real world is unpredictable and full of sensory overload, so he prefers living inside his own head, filled with adventure and imagination. In this documentary, we see how Ross uses the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons to practice letting go of control and to improve his communication skills. That’s not as simple as “just act normal,” but Ross also draws on his rich imagination to face the challenges of real life.
