The Great Dreamscape

The audience is applauding, the children are all lined up on stage. Everyone is ready for the school play! Well, maybe not everyone... One of the children, Andrea, has such bad stage fright that she hides inside a cape. It turns out not to be just any old cape, but a passageway to a floating castle, where she is welcomed by a bird, a cat and a robot. Andrea has such a nice time with these new friends in her fantasy world that she doesn't want to go back to her real life. While the audience awaits, Andrea has to choose between safety and courage. With a little help she learns that if you want to fly, you'll have to spread your wings first.

The creators of this beautiful, colorful family film, reminiscent of Inside Out, are frequent visitors of Cinekid and in previous years took home awards. This story, which many children will be able to relate to, shows that great things await us outside our comfort zone. Alongside The Great Dreamscape, two other short films are shown.
