About Cinekid

Cinekid is the leading platform for film, media and visual culture for children and young people. Every year, we reach hundreds of thousands of children, parents, creators and professionals through the Cinekid Festival, educational programmes, film screenings and international activities.

We believe that stories and media help children understand and shape the world. That is why we are building a strong brand that inspires children, parents and professionals to discover new stories and perspectives. This year we are celebrating Cinekid’s 40th anniversary: a milestone and the starting point for new steps in terms of positioning and visibility.

We are therefore looking for a Brand & Marketing Manager to strategically develop the Cinekid brand and guide the marketing team in its day-to-day activities.

The role

As Brand & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and safeguarding the Cinekid brand. You will lead the marketing team and ensure that strategy and execution are closely aligned.

You will translate Cinekid’s mission into clear positioning, campaigns and partnerships. You will work closely with the management and various teams within the organisation. You will ensure that marketing activities contribute to clear communication about the programme, and that you continue to build a strong and recognisable brand.

This is a role for someone who likes to think in terms of brand, audience and impact, not just campaigns.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Brand & Strategy

  • Developing and monitoring Cinekid’s brand strategy
  • Translating the mission and programme into a clear public narrative
  • Ensuring consistency across the festival, education and international activities
  • Identifying cultural and media trends relating to children, parents and media

Audience & Growth

  • Developing strategies to reach new target groups
  • Working on audience growth and brand awareness (nationally and internationally)
  • Developing campaigns and collaborations that strengthen the brand

Team & collaboration

  • Managing and coaching the marketing team
  • Collaborating with partners on brand-driven collaborations
  • Acting as a sparring partner for management and other teams on brand, audience and positioning

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’re someone who thrives on building brands with cultural impact. You don’t necessarily need to come from the cultural sector, but you do have an understanding of audiences, culture and social significance.

You recognise yourself in the following:

  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing, branding or communications
  • Experience with brand strategy and positioning
  • You think strategically, but also keep a close eye on implementation
  • You have experience in guiding and managing a team
  • You have an understanding of culture, media and young audiences
  • You enjoy working with different disciplines (creative, partnerships, programme)
