Do you have a strong network within the international film and media industry and keep up with the latest trends in children’s film and media? Then this could be your opportunity.

For almost 40 years, Cinekid has been the world’s largest international children’s film festival. Each year, Cinekid introduces tens of thousands of children across the Netherlands to the richest selection of films and media experiences for young audiences. Cinekid aims to inspire, entertain and connect, and to contribute to the development of children into independent, conscious and thoughtful global citizens. We do this by presenting, producing, developing and sharing film and moving image – always closely aligned with children’s perspectives and experiences.
In addition to the public festival during the autumn school holidays – featuring films, workshops and interactive installations in Amsterdam and dozens of cinemas nationwide – Cinekid is also a leading international platform for professionals working in film and media for young audiences. Through Cinekid for Professionals (CFP), Cinekid connects creators, producers, financiers, broadcasters, platforms, funds and policymakers from around the world, working together to strengthen the quality, diversity and future sustainability of children’s film and media.
For this international professionals programme, we are looking for a strategically strong and visionary colleague. As Coordinator Cinekid for Professionals, you are responsible for the overall strategic direction and positioning of Cinekid’s international B2B programme, working in close collaboration with the Talent Manager, who holds end-responsibility for the year-round talent development programmes. You develop, safeguard and renew the content-driven and strategic direction of CFP and translate this into a relevant, forward-looking programme that responds to developments in the international audiovisual industry for young audiences.
You actively follow new forms of storytelling for children – such as immersive storytelling, interactive media, XR, AI applications and cross-media formats – and know how to integrate these developments into the CFP programme. You initiate new programme components, platforms and collaborations, strengthening Cinekid’s position as an international hub for innovation, knowledge exchange and co-production.
Together with the Managing Director, you are responsible for further developing and securing Cinekid’s strategic position as a market leader in the international children’s film and mediasector. You contribute to the organisation’s multi-year strategy and ensure a strong translation into annual plans, programmes and partnerships.
