Calling all young film critics!

Does your child love films and storytelling? At this year’s Cinekid for Professionals, we're offering a unique chance for kids aged 3 to 14 to step into the director’s chair for a day!

In Ask Your Audience, international filmmakers will showcase their films and series in development directly to kids—their target audience. This is a rare chance for children to share their opinions, give feedback, and even suggest improvements. Their insights could help shape the films and shows they’ll be watching in the future.

We’re looking for English-speaking children aged 3 to 14 to join different focus groups. If your child loves movies and has something to say, this is the perfect opportunity for them!

The sessions will take place during the Cinekid Festival at Pathé Amsterdam Noord on:

• 30 October: 09:30 – 13:00 / 14:00 – 18:00
• 31 October: 09:30 – 13:00 / 14:00 – 17:30

Your child will only need to be there for 1-2 hours, depending on their age. We’ll share a more detailed schedule closer to the event.

During the sessions, filmmakers will present their projects to a small group of kids. The children will then discuss the story, themes, and anything else that catches their interest. A moderator will be on hand to guide the conversation and make sure it’s both fun and productive.

As a thank you, we’re offering participants and their accompanying adult free access to a screening at the Cinekid Festival, along with entry to the MediaLab.
