Cinekid is looking for curious kids aged 5–14 to become part of Junior Critics! During Cinekid for Professionals you'll get an exclusive preview of a brand-new film or TV series before anyone else. After watching, you'll meet the filmmakers, ask questions and tell them exactly what you think. Your ideas could help shape the final film or series!

🎬 A movie lover who can't stop talking about films?
🗣️ English-speaking?
🎂 Between the ages of 5 and 14?
Then Junior Critics is perfect for you!
When will it take place?
- October 13, 14 & 15, 2026
- Your session will last around 1–2 hours, depending on your age.
- Pathé Amsterdam Noord
- During the Cinekid Festival
A more detailed schedule will be published closer to the event.
Action! Here's what you will do
You'll join a small group of children your own age to watch part of a new project. Afterwards you'll chat with the filmmakers about what you liked, what surprised you and what could make the story even better. A moderator makes sure everyone has a chance to speak.
As a Junior Critic, you'll get:
