You might have heard of the saying "Never meet your heroes." It basically means: never meet your idols in person, because they can only be a disappointment. Sem finds that out the hard way. He's one of the loyal fans of Wesley, one of the most popular streamers in the Netherlands, who gives live commentary while playing games. Sem can't wait to finally meet his idol face to face at a big gaming convention. When the moment comes, it's quite a letdown: Wesley is curt and uninterested. Sem secretly captures Wesley saying ugly things about his fans. He threatens to expose him with this video. He uses it to gain more and more influence over Wesley. Because Sem wants more than just revenge. He wants what Wesley has. What follows is a power struggle in which Sem goes further and further, not just to surpass his idol, but to completely replace him.
