P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin)

Absurd comedy in which eleven-year-old Walid has to make his name sound more French
Social-critical comedy about eleven-year-old Walid, his sister Ptisssam and mother Latefa, who are ‘helped’ by the French authoritiesto Frenchify their first names. This is intended to make immigrants like them integrate better. The most absurd thing is that this idea turns out not to be fiction – it happened to the director herself as a child, thanks to a French law passed in 1972.
