Update: the deadline for presentation proposals has expired.
Cinekid for Professionals invites media makers, researches and artists to submit their presentation proposals for the 2019 Cinekid Professionals Programme. The call offers an opportunity to become part of the Cinekid Industry Forum, a one-day must-attend international event for everyone interested in children’s media, and reach out to international media professionals. Deadline for proposals is 1 August 2019.
Cinekid welcomes proposals for the Wild Card table of the Industry Forum and is looking for presentations in the area of children’s (3-14 years) media and encourages proposals that are innovative, engaging and/or inspiring. Proposals may include: best practices and/or case studies, research results, workshops, playful hands-on sessions, digital projects to be tested with kids and more.
When submitting, please motivate why the proposal is relevant for our audience and include a synopsis of your presentation topic and a biography. Submit your proposal before 1 August, through email@example.com. If you’re selected, you will receive an email in the week of 12 August 2019. Cinekid covers travel, accommodation and accreditation.
Theme: Express Yourself
This year’s theme is Express Yourself: how do adults communicate towards the young audience and how do we interpret each other’s communication? What has been the evolution in communication and what will the future look like?
Cinekid for Professionals intends to cater to all its visitors, therefore Forum attendees of the 2019 edition get to set out their own path through a wide array of topics and speakers held in parallel round-table sessions. Attendees compose their own tailor-made full day conference programme. Topics will range from trends in film and television creation and distribution to digital culture and media literacy themes. The Industry Forum will take place on Thursday 24 October 2019, in the Westergastheater in Amsterdam.
